Expect Delays: Road Closures Planned During Weekend Celebration In Pleasant Valley

Authorities in the Hudson Valley are advising motorists to expect delays and road closures ahead of an event over the weekend.

The Dutchess County Sheriff's Office said the Pleasant Valley Weekend Celebration, which is set to take place from Friday, Sept. 16, through Sunday, Sept. 18, will cause some road closures in the area.

On Saturday, Sept. 17, closures and delays are expected between 10 a.m. and noon due to a bike ride sponsored by the Pleasant Valley Lions Club. 

Authorities said the event will impact the following roads:

  • North Avenue
  • Salt Point Turnpike
  • Sherow Road
  • Main Street (Route 44)

On Sunday, Sept. 18, motorists should expect delays between noon and 2 p.m. due to the Pleasant Valley Weekend Parade at the following locations:

  • North Avenue
  • Martin Road
  • Sherow Road
  • Main Street (Route 44)

The Sheriff's Office said motorists should also plan for higher than normal traffic around the Pleasant Valley Town Hall throughout the festivities.
